The PHP Team is excited to see the number of people signing up for membership. This particular blog responds to this phenomenon, and explains the Associate Membership the PHP Team have put in place until we have both sufficient and significant content on the site, and the various membership levels are in place.
Until membership levels are defined and implemented, PHP will offer an Associate Membership. This basic level of membership is free of cost, allows the PHP Team to track interest in the site, as well as facilitating communication between the PHP Team and the Associate Members. We have put in place capabilities of announcing major site changes and addition of content as the site evolves (you may have received a notification that this blog was posted), and are working on putting a moderated discussion feature in place. A feature that allows comments responding to blog posts is already in place. Some people like bullet lists so that they can see offerings at a glance. Associate Membership offers at no cost:
• Notification of changes in the PHP website (including posting of blogs by the PHP Team);
• Notification of significant additions to the PHP site collections (to be available to a higher paid level of membership);
• Participation in the moderated PHP chatroom.
We are hoping that Associate Members will offer suggestions and identify needs that will guide the PHP Team in shaping and administering the PHP website. The PHP Team will keep members updated to changes in membership and the PHP site as they evolve and develop. We are all excited about this project: together let’s make it possible.
What is remembered lives,
